When you start talking to new clients, one of the first things you want to do is assess whether or not they’re a good fit. You might ask them how many employees they have and what their business does, but what about the details of their social media presence? Are they on Twitter? Do they have an active Facebook page? Are there photos of the team behind the scenes on Instagram? If you get the sense that they’re more tech-savvy than most companies your size, then you may be dealing with a digitally native business. 

Define the terms of the agreement upfront 

Before you start working together, it’s important to define the terms of the agreement upfront. This way, there are no surprises later on. Here are some dos and don’ts for collaborating with a digitally native business:  

  1. Do have an agreement in writing that outlines all the details and expectations for both parties.
